Description
These two letters (epistles) were written by the Apostle Paul to the infant church at Thessalonica.
Dr. Ogilvie has chosen eleven "jugular vein" verses-one for each chapter of 1 and 2 Thessalonians- that unlock the meaning of Paul's thoughts on authentic living.
The basis for such authenticity for Christ-followers is a "..rebirth of intimacy with Christ that has its indisputable origin in His initiative invasion of our lives. The newfound excitement about the Lord's power is consistent with the Biblical promises. What the Lord did so long ago, He is doing now. And it's congruent with reality."
Dr. Ogilvie concludes that is why a study of "the infant church there is so crucial. We are called back to essentials, Like those new Christians. we need to be assured and affirmed in the triumphant turnaround Christ has accomplished In our lives."
